Another Web 2.0 Application and a little insight in Blogging

The Web 2.0 movement has been sweeping the internet for awhile now. Some critics are even saying that we have skipped from Web 2.0 to 3.0 but still not quite sure how or when that happened so that is just a mystery. For anyone who doesn't know what Web 2.0 is, it is basically the movement towards more user defined applications for productivity and connectivity. Programs like Meebo, StumbleUpon and the entire Firefox browser are becoming known as Web 2.0 applications.

Basically, it's anything that you find on the web that may help you to do your job a little bit better or more easily. Unfortunately, you have to try to find these applications on your own and that then figure out if they work and if they are worth it. Fortunately, you have this blog where I happen to expose and run a lot of the programs for easy access for you!

Today's application that I think is pretty much amazing is a tool called Printer Anywhere and it does just that: prints to a printer anywhere. You download the program, let the computer find some printers or insert a printer of your choosing and there is no network knowledge necessary!

This tool is invaluable especially if you are often mobilized or if your printer happens to break down (which happens more frequently than you might think!) Give it a try and let me know your thoughts!

A quick thought here but if you are subscriber to this blog, you know that I have been trying to get my blog out there for about 3 months. I've been getting some great help from the forums and I'm seeing some great improvements. I'm planning on implementing a way for me to get some exposure by linking my blog posts to other bloggers and hopefully have them do that in return! If you are blogger and you want to help in this process, link up to this blog and I'll see it on Technorati and start linking up to your blog. Get the RSS or e-mail subscription in the process! A preemptive Thank You to anyone and everyone that helps with this exposure!

Second entry for the fellow bloggers: TwoPointTouch,, Feisty Red, Untwisted Vortex, Daytime Deals, Spyware, Adware, and Security News, Andy Beard, A Frog to Kiss, Article Discovery

Enjoy Printer Anywhere, help with the blog, subscribe to it and please leave your comments!

Have a great day!

Unfortunately Blogger isn't very Web2.0 because it doesn't issue pingbacks/trackbacks.

Ideally what you should be doing is linking through to other people's content, and issuing a trackback / pingback.

You can do that (at least last time I looked) using Haloscan, but I wouldn't use their comment system.

I'm glad you linked nathan.

Andy: I tried the Haloscan and it rearranged my blog to a point of no recognition. What is the point of the pingback/trackback if Technorati is linking already?
